About Blake Charron.

A Florida native, Blake Charron was a loving father, son, brother and friend to many. He had a great sense of humor and a contagious deep laugh. He was a caring, loving, funny and adventurous person. He worked in research, acquisitions, sales and leasing with his family’s commercial real estate business. Though out his life Blake was an athlete and active in almost every sport. Everyone that knew Blake knew he was passionate about the ocean. He spent significant time in the water, fishing, boating, and engaging in recreational water activities – including wake skating and surfing.

Blake struggled with addiction and fought hard to overcome but tragically lost that fight. Although he had his trials it is not what defines him and he is remembered for all the joy and compassion that he generously gave. He loved his son, his family and friends and he is greatly missed.

As an avid fisherman and diver, Blake was acutely aware of the impact that pollution and coral reef decimation had on those activities which he loved. He realized the need to restore the Florida reefs and effect positive change on other regional reefs, including those off the coast of the Bahamas.

Blake had a compassionate heart to those in need and felt strong about giving back to coastal communities where he spent so many happy days. Following Hurricane Dorian, Blake and his family participated in Dorian relief trips to the Bahamas, handing out supplies and assisting the locals in their recovery efforts.

The Blake Charron Foundation will focus efforts in his memory to make a positive impact on the waters that were his second home, as well as to support and enhance the coastal communities which he came to know and love over his lifetime.
